Alternative energy is an important and growing sector for Michigan and the world. As we pursue this sector, we have concluded that the larger equipment we use for various applications (mining, drilling, oil and gas, as well as heavy off road equipment) will lend itself nicely to this industry. Our skill set and equipment is especially suited for the manufacture of parts for wind energy. Additionally, the processes and supplier base (heat treat, shot peening, plating) we have developed for our heavy off road equipment as well as the oil and gas sectors dovetails nicely with the alternative energy sector.
